Community

We are a family.

We are a place where everyone is welcome to come as they are.

We serve: one another, the neighborhood, and the wider community.

We have flat leadership. Even youth are involved in all aspects of the community.

Fellowship

Sunday Service

We gather on Sunday morning each week at 10 am. Feel free to come early and get a cup of coffee or stay late and have one after! Sunday school is available to elementary students with experienced, background-checked teachers.

The first Sunday of the month is kid inclusive and family friendly - we do an activity together.

The second Sunday of the month we share the communion elements for anyone who wants to partake.

Everyone is welcome! Come as you are, bring your questions, doubts, curiosity, struggles, strengths, story, and beautifully different perspectives. We don’t have to believe the same things to be welcomed and loved. There is a place for you among us.

Monday Zoom Prayer Meeting

We consider Grace & Glory Church a “House of Prayer.” Monday Night Prayer Group came out of the 9/11 tragedy in 2001. On that day, the church doors were unlocked as people spontaneously arrived to pray in the sanctuary. While there, we committed to praying together every Monday evening, and that prayer group has continued to faithfully meet to this very day.

In 2020, we began meeting online. You are welcome to join us! Please reach out for the Zoom Meeting ID and password.

Gatherings & Events

Every month we have activities for adults to connect with one another. We encourage people to form or join small groups to go deeper in Bible study of their choice.

  • Women’s Bunco Night - On the third Friday of odd month (Jan, March, May, July, Sept, Nov). Doors open at 7 pm.

  • Board Game Night - Everyone is invited to play board games on the third Friday of even months (Feb, April, June, Aug, Oct). Doors open at 7 pm.

  • Women’s Specials Events - The third Saturday of February, April, June, August, October and December are women’s events.

  • Special Events for the Whole Community - Grace & Glory loves a party! We’d love to see you at our harvest party and apple press the first Sunday of November, our candlelight advent service the Sunday evening before Christmas, and our annual parties, summer BBQ’s and community field day throughout the summer.

Youth

Youth are welcome to join as leaders of the church. Youth band leads once a month and youth are welcome to contribute to community council and help shape the direction of the church.

The youth group meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm and has special events throughout the year.

Children

Grace & Glory is very welcoming of children. We enjoy children joining in the singing as we gather together.

The first Sunday of the month is Family Funday Sunday where there is a kid-inclusive teaching and an activity that everyone participates in together. All other Sundays, elementary aged children are welcome to attend hands-on teaching at their level.

Younger preschoolers can experience play-based care with an experienced caregiver, and we have a parent room where parents can play, change, or soothe the youngest in our community. All adults working with children must have an up to date background check with us.

Partnerships

  • Open House Ministries

Open House Ministries is a family shelter in Vancouver, Washington. Grace & Glory has partnered with Open House since their opening in 1986 with monthly giving, referrals, and item donations.

  • Kiggins Village

Kiggins Village is a veteran-preference shelter serving adults experiencing homelessness and helping them transition to housing. Grace & Glory members donate household items for residents moving into housing, and staff use the building for meetings and storage.

  • Local Afghani Families

  • Heart Change

Heart Change is a four-day workshop hosted at Grace & Glory several times a year, focused on personal growth, inner healing, and authentic community through teaching, reflection, and small-group prayer.

  • Global Poultry Initiative

Global Poultry Initiative equips indigenous people to make disciples and sustainably breed, grow, and market poultry. Grace & Glory supports this work through giving, and relational connection with Jim and Melissa Adkins.

  • Wycliffe Bible Translators

Greg and Beth Ann Carlson translate Scripture for communities in Vanuatu and surrounding islands. Grace & Glory has supported the Carlsons and this work through prayer and giving since our early years.
